چکیده
Yeast Saccharomyces cerevisiae is one of the simplest eukaryotic model organisms to study various parameters ethanol tolerance and has attracted a huge consideration for cost-conscious production bioethanol by fermentation soluble sugars. Ethanol crucial efficient from S. cerevisiae. In this study, we examined role HAL5 protein kinase in comparing cell growth, survival, stress responses wild-type, hal4,5 mutant, Hal5p overexpressed strains under 10 % (V/V) stress. Our findings suggest that overexpression enhances improving cellular ethanol-induced stress, including trehalose accumulation, reactive oxygen species (ROS) management, glutathione homeostasis, lipid peroxidation, carbonyl contents.

Mitotic role for the Cdc28 protein kinase of Saccharomyces cerevisiae.
The Cdc28 protein kinase functions in the G1 to S phase transition of the cell cycle of the budding yeast Saccharomyces cerevisiae. This is in contrast with observations of the homologous protein kinase from a variety of metazoans, where activity and function are associated with the G2 to M phase transition. We present evidence that the Cdc28 protein kinase is also required for mitosis and that...
متن کاملExtension of Chronological Life in Saccharomyces cerevisiae under Ethanol Stress by Thermally Processed Rice Koji Extracts
The effect of thermally processed rice koji extracts on survival of yeast Saccharomyces cerevisiae was examined in comparison with non-heated koji extract. In chronological life span (CLS) tests on high-sugar fermentation, the survivals of the yeast cells grown with heated koji extracts were higher than non-heated koji extract. Heat treatment of the extracts by autoclaving led to a loss in most...
متن کاملProtective Effects of Arginine on Saccharomyces cerevisiae Against Ethanol Stress
Yeast cells are challenged by various environmental stresses in the process of industrial fermentation. As the currently main organism for bio-ethanol production, Saccharomyces cerevisiae suffers from ethanol stress. Some amino acids have been reported to be related to yeast tolerance to stresses. Here the relationship between arginine and yeast response to ethanol stress was investigated. Mark...
متن کاملPrioritized Expression of BTN2 of Saccharomyces cerevisiae under Pronounced Translation Repression Induced by Severe Ethanol Stress
Severe ethanol stress (>9% ethanol, v/v) as well as glucose deprivation rapidly induces a pronounced repression of overall protein synthesis in budding yeast Saccharomyces cerevisiae. Therefore, transcriptional activation in yeast cells under severe ethanol stress does not always indicate the production of expected protein levels. Messenger RNAs of genes containing heat shock elements can be in...
متن کاملExpression of YAP4 in Saccharomyces cerevisiae under osmotic stress.
YAP4, a member of the yeast activator protein ( YAP ) gene family, is induced in response to osmotic shock in the yeast Saccharomyces cerevisiae. The null mutant displays mild and moderate growth sensitivity at 0.4 M and 0.8 M NaCl respectively, a fact that led us to analyse YAP4 mRNA levels in the hog1 (high osmolarity glycerol) mutant. The data obtained show a complete abolition of YAP4 gene ...
